Tania Bortolotto is the founder and president of the architecture and interior design firm, Bortolotto. Tania is a Fellow of the Royal Architectural Institute of Canada and is a WELL and LEED accredited professional. Tania is the majority owner of her woman owned company and the firm is celebrating 21 years in business.
Tania believes that architecture has an enormous impact on society’s quality of life and her passion for design is grounded in its ability to enhance happiness, health and productivity. Her inspiration lies in the relationship between architecture and the human experience and her commitment is to the delivery of architecture that is meaningful, unexpected and uplifting.
Tania is responsible for several significant design projects including OCAD University’s Rosalie Sharp Pavilion; the Reach Out Centre for Kids (ROCK); TD Retail Bank Branch at Bay and Bloor Streets; McGregor Community Centre expansion for the City of Toronto and the Rotman School of Management, South Building at the University of Toronto.
Tania currently serves on a TSX-listed public company as a member of the Board of Directors of Inscape Corp. and is the Chair of its’ Human Resources and Compensation Committee. Tania was an inaugural member and served on Waterfront Toronto’s Design Review Panel for several years. Tania also serves on the Board of Directors of the Boulevard Club, a private sports club, and is the Chair of its Master Plan Committee. Tania was a Program Advisory Member of the Architecture Department at Ryerson University. In 2007, Tania was the recipient of Ryerson’s Alumni Achievement Award, a distinction given to graduates who have made a significant contribution to their profession, community and country.
